About Our Youth Playmaking program

Our Youth Playmaking Program allows high school students to produce theatre on their own terms. Adults serve only in an advisory capacity - youth are given complete artistic freedom to produce theatre the way they want. The program is completely free to all participants. All resources, including adult time and rehearsal/performance space are donated.

The Youth Playmaking Program produces up to three shows each year. Directors are chosen through an application process. High school students of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Click here for the application, or email laura@thewilburygroup.org.
