“The genius of the show is that every part, the interviews with special guests, the introductions of cartoons, the strange interruptions from live-action characters—all of it—is inquiry-based. Rainbow Beard and crew never tell audience members how to feel.”

SPECIAL EVENT
SATURDAY, MAY 25 AT 2PM
SATURDAY, MAY 25 AT 2PM
The Rainbow Beard Show is an interactive experience hosted by Ricky Rainbow Beard that features puppets, games, stories, songs, and special guests through a comedic lens. Each new show is about a deep and simple theme and is written with kids ages 4-8 (and the grownups in their neighborhood) in mind. Together, we investigate our collective human experience through inquiry and play.
In May 2024 we will be exploring LANGUAGES and the different forms they take such as spoken, written, body language, and images (i.e. emojis). Our guests include: a storyteller, a multilingual community organizer, and even a lawyer! We will ask questions such as:
- What does it mean when we say language?
- Which types of language do you use in your everyday life?
- How can we speak each other’s languages?
Remember to wear your dancing pants.
Funding provided in part by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and private funders.
